The summer months brings big changes to our external and internal environment. The sun is at its highest, however our digestive capacity is at its lowest. Therefore, it’s best to choose foods that are light and easy to digest.

It is also important to remember to stay hydrated throughout the day. Try adding fruit such as berries and lime or herbs like mint to your water to increase absorption and give it a cool, refreshing taste.

Choose: sweet, bitter and astringent tastes

Avoid: pungent (hot/spicy), sour and salty tastes
